Free Public Wi-Fi Hotspots Using New Broadband Package from BT
BT has good news for small and medium businesses in the
These hotspots have become a popular service amongst both business owners and their customers. However, setting up this service used to be very complicated. The new package, called BT Business Total Broadband hub, makes it easy and hassle free for business owners to set up a wireless internet network that allows them to share their broadband connection with the customers.
Businesses worried about their own connection speeds being throttled can be at ease as BT says that the free network will never be given priority over their internal traffic. Therefore, they will see no difference in the current business broadband speeds.
BT added that existing business customers can also avail this new feature. They will just need a firmware upgrade on their broadband hub to install this service.
Thus, small to medium business centres such as cafes and restaurants can now offer free Wi-Fi to customers. They can provide the service free of cost to their customers or they can sell BT Openzone vouchers. Either of these options can increase their appeal to customers and increase sales.
BT Business Manager, Bill Murphy says that free broadband is a good value addition and it can bring in more revenue to businesses. He also added that it helps their customers stay online and be more productive.
